Wherever you are in the world, I wish you a very merry Christmas.
For the religious, Christ is Born! As a father myself, I only now realise that there is a sense of both unmitigated and unlimited hope channeled into a new born. They really do have limitless potential, although saviour of all mankind might be a little optimistic!
For my more secular friends, Christmas remains a true cultural touchstone. You can bitch and moan about the creeping commercialism of the holiday, but most people tunnel through that to enjoy the company of their friends and family, and take some much needed time off.
For us, we had a wonderful day. A pancake breakfast, a ham ‘n’ lamb dinner, and then one of my favourite movies to finish off the day.
