Today was Grocery Price Dropping Inauguration Day for Donald Trump. I didn’t catch much of it, but I saw a few of the highlights. It’s certainly an interesting time to be living here in America.
A few people from abroad have asked me about how I feel about it all, and particularly about the man of the moment, DJT. My position has always been consistent: I support the President. Whether it is Sleepy Joe or Don the Con, the fact remains that it is a difficult job, and everyone should be hoping they do a good job.
That doesn’t mean I don’t have opinions on those in office. It is completely rational to say that Joe Biden did lots of great things over his career, while simultaneously being too old for the job. Similarly, Donald Trump is a rather odious individual who says some pretty wild things, but there were certainly lots of bright spots in his previous presidency that I hope he can replicate this time round.
As with so many things, it is a matter of “wait and see”. The Hamas ceasefire is a good start. The support for going to Mars is one I can get behind. I think pardoning the Jan 7 Rioters is stupid, and probably a non-starter.
On a final note, it was nice to see the other characters up on stage. Barron Trump really is a giant, even among some tall people. It was nice seeing JD’s family on stage as well, but seeing Melania in her skin walker outfit was very, very strange.
