After a wonderful three weeks up in Northland, we are back in Auckland for the week.
Ultimately, we decided to fly. It’s a short one, only 40 minutes, and amazingly, required no ID check or security. Clearly the number of radicalised terrorists in the semi-tropical regions of the South Pacific are either low in number or appallingly organised.
We could just as easily have driven, and it would have taken about the same amount of time, door to door. But petrol is expensive, and a young baby isn’t the best road trip companion. It was certainly the right decision, and there is something fun about going up in the twin prop.
