Our friends have kindly let us stay at their home while they’re away for the next few months. It has been a terrific stroke of luck; without their generosity, we really could have been in quite a pickle.
The neighbourhood we’re staying in is a delight. America doesn’t have a ton of walkable, park laden, high amenity residential areas, so we feel like we have hit jackpot. There are a few cafes, my favourite brewery (which does a GREAT French Style Ale), some coworking spaces, and more, are all within walking distance. The neighbours seem kind and not at all hopped up on meth or fentanyl, while at the same time there is enough of a mix to avoid any confusion with a scene from Desperate Housewives.
In the next few months, we will definitely be keeping our eye out for our next long term location, but for now, we’re really stoked with how we have landed on our feet.
