We had some friends round for dinner this evening, all of whom have children under 1. It’s certainly a different affair than the dinner parties of the past.
Different is neither good nor bad, it’s just different. The name of the game is simplification; no 3 course meals, just something that people can eat, ideally one handed, and plenty of it.
We went with the pulled pork (recipe HERE), and it was a hit. Cheap, tasty, scalable. It’s hard to beat.
We had a great time, and everyone was out the door by 7:45. It would have been a dull affair for a non-parent; but for us, it was a great way to get together.
