On Friday morning, we were robbed. No cause for alarm, but it is unsettling.
We have a weekly milk subscription. It’s great quality, costs a dollar or so more, and it’s fun to have a “milkman”. This week, we thought we would roll into the weekend with a pack of snags as well.
Anyway, Friday morning rolls around, and I go out to our wooden milk crate, and what do I see? Nothing, but some slowly melting ice.
What has clearly happened is that our produce had been nicked by some ne’er do well. The ice in the chest tells me that they were definitely delivered, so this could be the only plausible outcome.
It’s less that $15, but it’s not nice. We have a literal infant outside, and I don’t like the idea of criminals, petty or otherwise, stalking around.
Solutions wise, we have bought a Ring Doorbell (at 50% off!) and will install it tomorrow.
If that doesn’t act as a deterrent, perhaps it’s time to practice the 2A.
