We didn’t go to the baseball this year, and we won’t, as the season wrapped up this evening.
A few comments from one of the least informed people on the subject. These are the things I hear just living in the US, with no interest in the game:
- The Rockies sucked. Our local team had a historically bad season, as in once in a century failure to launch. They won 43 games, and lost 119. The next worst team in the division won 80. Dire.
- There is a really, really good Japanese player called Shohei Ohtani, aka Shotime. Being very, very good also makes you very, very rich; his 10 year contact is worth $700 million
- The LA Dodgers are World Champions, again. We were at a house party just before, and they beat the Toronto Blue Jays in extra innings. A bit anti-climactic at the end, but hey, well done.
And that’s all folks. My knowledge of baseball 2025 is exhausted.
P.S I tell a lie. A few pals and I went to see the Rockies one evening for ~6 innings. It clearly had very little impact on me, but I do remember it being fun!
