Some people like trains, some like trams. The occasional freak enjoys busses that aren’t the one exception (the double deckers in London).
But the absolute king of public transport remains the ferry. I had to get into central Auckland this afternoon, and what would have taken me 90 minutes by car took me 40 by boat. WiFi the whole way. Nice view. Plenty of seats. And all for about the same I would have spent in fuel.
It’s not the Manly Ferry (undisputed GOAT) but it’s the best way to get around.
