I have been in SF for work, and today I had the privilege of being on Stanford campus. It is clear why so many people want to work there.
It’s such a lovely place. We are in the tail end of winter, but it’s still perfect weather. The campus is clean, tidy, and well maintained. It doesn’t have the classic beauty of a Harvard or Cambridge, but the sandy buildings have a charm.
If you’re at Stanford, all things considered, you’re probably doing pretty well. You’re likely young, you’re at a top school, you’re surrounded by friends and opportunities. People just felt alive and optimistic; it was nice to see.
Sadly I didn’t make it to the gift store, but perhaps next time.
