Regular readers know I am currently in the great state of Texas, and by golly, they do things differently down here.
Take, for example, the nearby coffee shop, which is “Christ centred”. All of their options had biblical names, from the Red Sea to the John 4:10. I got the Bean Revival; it was actually quite good!
Once we got our dose of (holy) bean water, we picked up what felt like a metric half ton of BBQ for lunch, which was quite the treat.
In the afternoon, we loaded into the ATVs and explored the ranch, where we saw a ton of deer and gazelles, bouncing around the plains. But it was the next door neighbors, with their pet giraffes, that really stole the show.
I’m a big fan of the Lone Star state; it certainly has character!
