So, after 100 days, the Iranian War is over.

Thank god.

This event was the biggest debacle of Trump’s presidency, round 1 and 2, and that includes Covid.

Sure, Iran has had a lot of its navy, leadership, and missile supplies destroyed. But even without ships, without its generals, without supplies, it still had a total chokehold of the Strait. In under four months, they had the world’s sole superpower signing a grovelling armistice.

It’s still early days, but it looks like the US will give the Iranians 300 billion in reparations and force Israel into a ceasefire. In exchange, Iran opens the Strait, the same Strait that was open 100 days ago.

What a mess.

I am glad the war is over, and I look forward to just forgetting about this whole debacle. But thousands of people in Iran died. Innocent citizens in gulf states were killed and maimed in retaliatory strikes. Dozens of American servicemen and women endured a similar fate.

For them and their families, the Iran War won’t be forgotten, or be remembered as a period of time with high gas prices.
