As readers of this blog know, I have sustained a TERRIBLE back injury, having strained myself on the water wakeboarding. However, the good news is that I’m feeling a lot better, and have gone from unable to get out of bed to being semi functional. I can walk, albeit slowly, and can sleep through the night.
A lot of this is thanks to a web service called Tend, which provides telemedicine. I booked my appointment, paid, and after 10 minutes was granted a script for pain killers, muscle relaxants, and a medial certificate.
This is technology working at its best, making our lives easier. It’s been a while since I have used a service which worked so well, so three cheers for Tend and the NZ medical system!
