Today my wife and I returned our skis. It was a hell of a deal, and the convenience of having your own skis for a whole season was terrific, but there was still an element of sadness returning the sticks over.
The season isn’t entirely over, but for us, it is. Let’s spin the highlight reel.

Apologies for the imperial measurements, but for context, the distance to where you sit right now, and the stratosphere, is around 170k feet.
I think lift rides is always a good stat. 129 feels like a lot, and while it’s no one’s favourite part of winter sports, it’s not the worst. On a blue sky day, which was often, I had the chance to look out and drink in the view, or spend some time in my own head. As plugged in individuals, that is always welcome.

These are some more stats, probably a lot less interesting, but I liked days on mountain. I don’t know how many more days I’ll get up there next year, or any year really, so to knock off two full weeks (plus a day in the heli!) has left me feeling very grateful.
