This afternoon was spent BBQing in a park in London. If you haven’t done THAT before, fix it before you roll off this mortal coil.
It was with two friends, one very old, one newish. That isn’t the main story though; the thing that will crack you up is our classic.
It took 1 hour to get our BBQ assembled, and 2 hours to get it lit. It was a slow walking disaster, most of the time. And then, miraculously, we were lit and live. The sausages were fantastic.
There is something wonderful about taking the liberty to cook food in a public park. Eating outdoors is great. Cooking your own food is nice. Eating in a broader cacophony of people is nice.
If you have the chance, dine in Lincoln’s Inn Fields.
