Ky and I were blessed today with the most incredible baby shower today. I had never been to one before, so I had no idea what to expect, but we had a blast.
I say blessed for a reason; it was so kind of Kylene’s colleagues to open their home to us and host the whole event. Taking on an event for 25+ people is hard work, and exhausting. We will always be grateful to them.
And the food! Oh my. One of our hosts flew in from Tennessee and ran the kitchen, filling us all up with delicious southern cooking. I’m talking all the classics; Mac & Cheese, pulled pork, spinach and artichoke dip. It was a feast, and most of us ended up waddling out.
Without family over here, it has been important to build a strong friendship group, and I think we’re getting there.
