Because i Passed-a my driving test. Yes, I didn’t expect that I would have to do it twice, but I learned my lesson, and now I’m good to go.
It’s an odd thing, doing a driving test as an adult. I’m not the world’s best driver, but I have never been in an incident, and I have had a reasonable amount of experience. Plus I started relatively young, around 13 years old, so that counts for something.
In these tests, you have to maintain full silence. The tester is only allowed to give you instructions – turn left, merge right, etc – so you spend a lot of time sitting at red lights in absolute silence, both hands on the wheel, compulsively checking your side and back mirrors every few moments.
On this occasion, we had the added joy of having not one, but two school busses on our route. This created even worse experiences, as I had to sit next to these yellow monsters as they dumped out kids every few meters.
Anyway, the good thing is I passed, and we’re in the clear. Watch out Denver!
