Last Saturday, Ky and I went to a pumpkin patch to pick up a decorative gourd. It wasn’t a half bad experience!
Many people are fascinated by farms. I’m one of them, as are the millions of people who tune into Clarkson’s Farm. Even David Beckham has decided that the best way to plonk his cash post football is into feeding hens, although I’m convinced that while he might have a face for television, he has a voice for newspapers, and thus a media career would never really work.
On our visit, we saw some extremely non-plussed rabbits, some cows, some goats, and a chicken. We then went on a tractor ride, and saw some corn fields. It was ok. Finally, we went into the cornfield maze, which was actually really well done, but the constant twisting and turning made the two of us semi-nauseous, so after 20 minutes, we decided to use a drainage disk to escape. Mission accomplished?
And of course, we ended up picking up a pumpkin to take home. Overall, it was another great day in the Centennial State!
