There is a lot of discussion in the productivity world around morning routines. Exercise first thing, or journal? Ice bath? Compulsory. High fat breakfast or intermittent fasting? The comment section becomes a war zone.
There is only one morning routine which I like, have followed, and found useful. Alex Hormozi is a business and productivity “guy”, but I have found a lot of his stuff super useful in the past.
His morning routine is simple: spend as little time as possible between waking up and getting to work. He adds a few extras: black coffee, no food, noise cancelling headphones, and nicotine. I drop the nicotine and make sure I spend 2 hours before caffeine thanks to Huberman’s research, but otherwise, I think it works for me.
It certainly did today.
What’s your go to morning routine?
