Postpartum

So, we did it. Or at least Ky did it, and I cheered her on. Now, it was time for some well earned rest.

We honestly couldn’t have had a better time at Rose Hospital. After the delivery, we spent two days in the hospital, which originally I thought was overkill. Two days! I want to go back to my bed and have a proper snooze.

Turns out it couldn’t have been a better decision. The combination of having all meal provided, unlimited tea and coffee, and most importantly, medical staff on hand to answer all our questions.

Breast feeding is hard, although it doesn’t look it from the outside. It requires a bit of technique and a willingness to do the “love shove”, when you essentially launch bib’s mouth onto the waiting nip. It isn’t exactly “self-evident”.

Overall, a great experience, from the moment we arrived to the moment we were led out of the hospital.

Also, they cart the babies around in little trolleys, which I like to call Pizza Delivery. It’s very amusing to see.

So ends the baby trilogy, we’re back to regular programming tomorrow.
