Over the weekend, Donald Trump added another career path to his collection, including real estate mogul, tv star, WWE contestant, and of course, president. It was the most American of jobs: working the drive-thru window at McDonalds.
From an optics point of view, I think it looks good. Despite being a billionaire (or so he says), he does a Clintonian way with regular people which drives a lot of his popularity.
Trump seems to be enjoying himself on the train, a sleeper indicator that he might be doing better than the polls suggest. National polls still put the election at a knife edge, but after this move, it certainly hasn’t his hurt his chances.
Harris needs to make her next move; it’ll be interesting to see what she does.
