I love the idea of affordable luxuries. One could argue it’s a fallacy; how could anything affordable, or even free, be a luxury good?
To those people, try some of the French butter, Lescure, on a slice of quality bread, with an optional sprinkle of Maldon salt. A single slice probably costs you a dollar or two, max, but it’s the most perfect bite. It’s 10x the price of margarine on WonderWhite, but doesn’t break the bank.
Even better are free luxuries, and I was reminded of one today. Eating outside on a beautiful day doesn’t cost a red cent, but it always makes me feel as though I’m on the very best of holidays.
If you have an affordable luxury that you would recommend, please let me know!
