I am not a nostalgic type, but I make an exception for the AFL Grand Final. As I wrtie this, the game has just started, and it looks like a GLORIOUS day in Melbourne. Those early days of Spring are such a special time in the Garden State.
To celebrate, Ky and I have got a little creative. For dinner, we decided to go super kitsch and make ourselves some sausage rolls. They came out really well, although, like all things American, they were HUGE.
Unfortunately, the extensive Denver beer scene hasn’t discovered the joys of Carlton Draught, so I had to make do with the great sin of Fosters. To take the edge off it, it did come in the Super Can (the same size as a wine bottle!), so that was an interesting innovation.
Same as last year, I’ll be supporting the Lions. I’m not against,South Melbourne Sydney Swans, but a successful Brisbane Lions = a healthy competition.
