Today my future brother in law and I went for an All American afternoon. It was a wild ride.
It all started at lunchtime, where we dined out at apparently one of Denver’s premier Mexican restaurants. They say “location, location, location” when it comes to the Real Estate industry, but when it comes to dining out, a restaurant connected to a gas station in a rougher part of town can be slinging some of the best burritos around. In a word, authentic.
From there, it was off to the Tesla Dealership to test drive the Cyber Truck. It was both the best and worst driving experience of my entire life.
The good news? This car is unbelievably quick, by far the fastest vehicle I have ever driven. Its acceleration from 0-100 kms is only a few seconds, and you can REALLY feel it. At the same time, the manoeuvrability is top notch. A super fun drive, and I’m not someone who loves cars.
The bad? At the red light, we decided to play around with a few features, and ended up logging ourselves out of the car! So imagine this, we’re at a red light, we can’t get out of park, and all we can hear is honking from irate drivers behind us. This went for 10 minutes until we could get through to HQ and they could remotely restart it. A terrible experience.
After that, we were a little flustered, so we decided to destress and check out the range. Yep, we went down to the gun store, saw their range, then went to the range.
I’ve never fired a pistol before, and it took me a little while to get the hang of it, and I probably won’t do it again any time soon. Regardless, a fun, very American day.
