Last weekend was the Lunar, or Chinese New Year, which is one of my favourite celebrations of the year. As someone who married into the tradition, it is less about the historical significance, and more of a chance to spend time with friends and family and enjoy a succulent Chinese meal.
Last year we went out with our friends Shannon and Ted to Yum Cha, but this time, we decided to go in house and cook it ourselves. Our good friend Syd and Jason came to join us for the feast.
This year, we had longevity noodles, home made pork dumplings, and garlic Bok Choy. I haven’t cooked much Chinese food before, but this was a real pleasure, and absolutely delicious!
