Those who know me know that I’m a Newcastle United fan, which is always been an oddity. Newcastle have never in my lifetime been a contender, and while my mum is from the UK, she grew up in London, hundreds of kilometers away from St James’ Park.
In my lifetime Newcastle have been relegated, and also made the champions league, largely thanks to an injection of cash from Saudi Arabia. While I don’t think the club is going to become an overnight success like Man City or PSG, I can see the improvements and am loving the journey
Today I woke up to see Newcastle had beaten arch rivals 3-0 away from home. It’s always a great way to start the day, but made me wish that the Black Cats get promoted back to the Prem league so we have more of these Derbies.
