We’re on our roadtrip back to Denver, after spending two night in Crested Butte. For those unfamiliar with the terrain, here is the map.
Fairly close right? Especially as Aspen is less than two hours from Denver.
Wrong.
Mountains are a hell of an obstacle, and thus CB is 4.5 hours from our place. The distance makes it less touristy, and honestly, it’s one of our favourite places, but it’s a trek.
Buena Vista is halfway back, and a lovely town. We’re staying with friends for the weekend, and are using BV as a chance to explore, hike, cook food, and have an overall great time.
Buena Vista in Spanish translates to Beautiful View, and you can see why they came to that conclusion. From our AirBnB, there are stunning vistas of the mountains all around. Honestly, we’re lucky to be here.
