I have been sitting on this post for a while, mostly because I didn’t want to let the cat out of the bag. But after two weeks have passed, I am thrilled to announce that my younger sister, Victoria, recently became engaged to her partner, Jim. I’m thrilled, as are they.
The two of them are a great match, and both bring out great qualities in one another.
When I first met Jim, I instantly liked him. He has a gift which I genuinely consider supernaturally impressive; he is practical. As someone who isn’t, seeming him in action is always a treat. After eight years in the Royal Australian Navy, he is working for Qantas, and doing his bit to ensure the Flying Kangaroo doesn’t fall out of the sky. Rainman would be proud.
He also clearly adores my sister, which is all anyone can really ask for. Victoria is a wonderful young woman, and I think that the two of them have so much to look forward to.
I am looking forward to the wedding already!
