Today has been a great day, and it makes me feel like we have really settled into Denver.
The last few days we have been hosting our Vancouver friends – Chris, Michelle and their little baby Margot. They sadly left this morning, but it was great having them here.
After breakfast and dropping them off at the airport, I spent the morning watching The Ronaldo Show (Portugal v Turkey in the Euros), went for a 5km run, and then went to a friend’s party. Niv is a mate I have made in Denver, and it was super cool that he invited us round to his bash. He’s such a thoughtful guy, and really know’s how to host a fun event.
Sadly, we had to dash off early to go visit our friends for dinner, which was such a treat. 4.5 hours later, we finally said our goodbyes.
It was a very full day, but super nice that much of the joy of the day was due to being settled in with a community; even if it is small at the moment. So much of our US journey has been travelling around and exploring, so it’s nice to be included in things closer to home.
