After work, the three of us went on a hunt for some Bubble Ice Tea. I’m not one to ever go out and buy one, but I will always have a cheeky slurp of Ky’s when she gets one. After initially being quite dubious of their consistency, I have a tender spot in my heart for the little bubbles now.
I don’t think I would enjoy running a Bubble Ice Tea parlour, but I sure would enjoy being an investor in one, should the opportunity arrive. The margins on those things must be incredible, and while the one in Denver was quiet, there have been quite a few in Melbourne, particularly near RMIT, which had literal lines round the block. Someone is doing very, very nicely out of that.
