Two weeks ago I switched from French to Spanish, and while hesitant, I realised that I had made the right decision.
Firstly, SO much of what I learned in French translates right over, which has been super helpful. Secondly, the structure of Spanish, both in terms of speaking and writing, feels more straightforward. Maybe that statement will come back to bite me, but I’m sticking to it for now.
As for proof, I ended up finishing this week’s DuoLingo league as #1 out of 25, so that is nothing to be sniffed at. Vamos!
