If you had to name the most famous painting in the world, you’d probably land on the Mona Lisa. However, if you asked for the second one, you’d probably end up with either The Scream or The Wave.
It’s an image I have seen countless times, but today, there were three things that stuck out to me.
- Mt Fuji is in the background. The print is clearly Japanese, but this was the first time I had ever seen the famous peak.
- There are people within the boats. They’re small, but they’re definitely there!
- The image was one of 36. All the others have faded away to obscurity, or near to it, but this one stood the test of time. This is what they call in the VC game a “grand slam”
