I have never really been one for credit card maxing; largely because it’s not really a thing in Aus/NZ, and I only got my first credit card at the age of 29.
But now that we have been here a few years, and our credit score has finally built up, I thought, why not? There are a ton of cards out there that give you something for nothing, assuming you don’t overspend, and we don’t.
We haven’t been here long enough to get the real baller cards, but frankly, they seem more aligned with flexing than benefits. But a decent card with our local airline, United, should buy our family international flights each year for doing nothing beyond purchasing what we usually do.
Seems like a deal to me.
