It’s not really a Christmas Movie, but we watched Prince of Egypt this evening. What struck me was how much it reminded me of another movie I had seen, 10 months earlier.
Dune is a good movie, and there are obviously a lot of differences. But beyond the desert backdrop, the idea of an enslaved people (Hebrews/Fremen) who rely on a prophet to guide them, who comes from the enemy itself.
They’re both great stories, told in interesting and powerful ways. PoE has the better soundtrack, Dune the better visuals.
Both are worth a watch .
