Charles Tyrwhitt, the British men’s clothier, had a summer sale a few weeks ago. With my wardrobe looking equal parts monotone and drab, I decided to pick up a few polos.
Things got off to a good start. I could see my package tracked from their British headquarters, to Heathrow, to the plane, to SFO.
And then nothing.
My package has been at SFO for a week, and no one knows anything about it.
I called up Charles Tyrwhitt today. I spoke to a real person, who apologised, told me they’d be sending a new package, and would be sending it priority. Fine, but that means it is arriving the day I am leaving on vacation, so a bit annoying.
No worries, they’re upgrading it to express, and it will arrive in 2-4 days.
It wasn’t their fault that the clowns at San Fran airport lost my clothes. But they made it their responsibility, and solved the problem there and then.
I’ll be back.
