Last night, Vic, O, Ky and I went to the Granby Rodeo. It was a great time.
For Octavia, she’s just a fan of the animals. There were lots of horses stomping around, and where we sitting had lots of sheep in a pen. That, along with jumping up and down on the bleachers, was all she needed for a fun evening.
For my sister, this was a side of America she, and most tourists, don’t see. The anthem singing, the prayers, the pro-American commentary (“only in America do we have the freedom to gather together and enjoy the rodeo” etc), the big trucks, buckles, hats, and flags. It’s all really cool to see.
For Ky and I, it was just a nice evening, and for me, my favourite part was seeing the sun set under mountains, basking the land in golden light.
A fun evening.
