I don’t have a Starlink, but I like the company. The promise of reasonably fast internet, wherever you are in the world, for a few dollars a day, is a good one.
I would love it if governments embraced it more, rather than sticking with the boring old towers, so you can image my delight when I figured out the big brains down at Starlink HQ figured a way to turn it off for Russian forces while still allowing access to the Ukrainians. In day 1455 of the war (not a typo), this has led to their strongest counter-offence in over three years.
Like all right thinking people, I really hope the Ukrainians can emerge out of this morass victoriously, or at lease peacefully. You might not be Mr Musk’s biggest fan, but every little bit helps.
