I was bitten by a wasp today. It’s not something I think I have ever experienced, and unsurprisingly, not one I will be running back to repeat.
Pain is a hard thing to describe. This particular sting felt like a hot wire poked onto the back of my hand, which is unusual in two ways: everyone describes it the same way, yet almost no one has experienced that sensation themselves.
The imagination is strange and wonderful.
