I recently made a meme, so without any further ado, Look upon my works, ye mighty and despair:

I think it will be in semi-frequent rotation in the coming months, and was inspired by the recent missile strikes in Iran.
A more fun way of saying “two things can be true at once”, it is a powerful reminder that balance and perspective are wise companions.
Is bombing a sovereign nation without support from Congress or, frankly, the American populace a good idea?
Probably not.
Is the world a better place now that innocent civilians have had their homes and lives destroyed.
Certainly not.
But a world where terrorist-supporting radicals have a nuclear weapon is a severe downgrade from the current status quo. This is truer for Iranians more than anyone; the average North Korean has a terrible life in many parts due to their nutty leader’s uranium enriched arsenal. Were Iran able to successfully test a warhead; there is a non-zero chance the Israelis would turn Tehran to glass moments later.
That is a terrible outcome.
There is one thing I can be certain of going forward, and that is that I don’t know what will happen next. Neither do you. A handful of people in a handful of countries have a slightly clearer vision, but checking my subscriber list, none of you are senior generals, admirals, or cabinet members.
As always, we shall see in due course. Stay safe.
