I was gas bagging with one of our software engineers this morning about coding, and we swapped battle stories about life in the coding trenches. There were three things I learned:
- He uses Cursor, an AI-powered code generator, for 98% of his work. Type in a prompt, click submit, and the AI will generate what you’re looking for.
- By type, I mean speak. He has an integration on his laptop that allows him to dictate his prompts into the application, and it then runs from there. It’s called Whispa for those interested
- The difference between a full-time SWE like him and a part-time hack like myself is that 2%.
