Airplane WiFi has been a thing for a while. It’s super slow, often expensive, and frequently drops out. Overall, a dastardly experience.
But today, while on a United flight to DC, I was rather pleased to see they had partnered with StarLink, Elon Musk’s company.
I was happy for two reasons. 1, we have had free, fast, unlimited, consistent internet access the entire time. And secondly, I hope this is a rather profitable partnership, as I have already lost hundreds on SpaceX since they IPOed a few months ago.
