Threading the needle

We’re in the market for a car at the moment, and like many of life’s bigger purchases, this one is a doozy. There’s multiple factors involved: price is a big one, but finding one which is safe, well maintained, with Apple CarPlay and resilient in the colder months adds complexity. We have decent credit scores, but lack of time in the country means we remain unable to finance a car. We probably wouldn’t want that anyway with the current interest rates.

To compound the issue, we don’t have a car, nor do we live near any car lots. Today this was painfully obvious when we caught an Uber out to the lot to see a car or two, only to realize neither of them were fit for purpose. The high (low?) light of the entire affair was seeing a strikingly poor salesperson in action. We left empty handed, and probably would have even if they were handing out lambos for free.

We will figure it out soon enough.
