There is a term in the baby world called “sleep pressure”, which is just a fancy term for tiredness. You can physically feel it when your eyelids get droopy, as well as a thousand other symptoms we are all familiar with.
Developing sleep pressure throughout the day is critical, because otherwise you end up like us right now, nearing 10pm, with a child who has no interest in going to bed.
And we didn’t even do anything wrong!
