Like most people, I am in a collection of group chats with friends. It’s a nice, low effort, always on way to stay up to date with mates, even if you’re separated by oceans, responsibilities, and time zones.
They rise and fall in activity, with short bursts of activity, followed by longer periods of dormancy. Friday afternoon is usually a boom time, as is Sunday night. Depending on how many of your friends are unemployed, Tuesday mornings are usually quiet.
The chat is usually memes, updates, some banter around fantasy football every now and then. However, today I was pleasantly surprised by the fact one of the guys wanted to create a “Waffle Wednesday” tradition, where every Wednesday we would just do a short video blog about our life, nothing serious, just a waffle. I think it’s a great idea, and cool to see one another.
Talking into the camera isn’t natural, but hopefully over time it gets better. Waffle on!
