I’m just driving home in the Uber after our good friend’s wedding. As always, it was a blast.
My favourite weddings are cross-cultural occasions, and that’s what this was. The bride grew up in Vancouver, her husband in Melbourne. To add to the variety, her father was born in Trinidad, her mother in the Phillipines. It really is a small world!
Throughout the wedding, there were lots of individual touches; poutine was served as a late night snack, Shania Twain was a regular over the sound system.
My wife spoke as the maid of honour, and as always, knocked it out of the park. Very proud.
Overall, a great, but very long day.
