You may have noticed that this email arrived slightly differently today. First off, I have dropped the title count. It was very motivating at the start, as I aimed to hit 10, 20, 50 days in a row. Now, it feels like a vanity project, and it can go the way of the Dodo. I might make an announcement on milestones – 100, 500, 12345 – etc, but for the day to day, it’ll be title only.
I’ve actually been looking forward to this for a while; having to go through my app to find out what day I was on was a chore.
The other change you may have noticed is the email subject line. In the past it was ugly, clunky, and useless. Now, it is far more streamlined.
The cool think about technology is that you can iterate rapidly, and each problem you solve brings a smaller, less obvious, but often just as important problem to the foreground.
