  • Great Day

Today has been a great day, and it makes me feel like we have really settled into Denver. The last few days we have been hosting our Vancouver friends – Chris, Michelle and their little baby Margot. They sadly left this morning, but it was great having them here. After breakfast and dropping them off…

  • Meme of the week

I rarely share memes, but I did today. It isn’t necessarily the greatest one, but the fact that I shared it with my mate means that it’s probably worthwhile sharing it with you. I like it, even though I’m not in the slightest involved in the space of competitive coding. Maybe it’s the archetypes, or…

  • Rolling Stones

They’re playing down the road as I write this, at Mile High Stadium. Now, having the Rolling Stones in town possibly doesn’t cause as much as a stir in 2024 as it did in 1974, but when I ran past the venue a few hours ago, it was clear that they could still pack an…

  • Running Repairs

One of the major inconveniences that has plagued my life over the past few months has been my bathroom sink. It has been a pain for quite some time, but the past few weeks have been particularly awful, with the sink filling with stagnant water for days. Well, today was the day that I was…

  • Cyber Security

This week at work has been CyberSecurity Week, or at least it has been for me. It has been a serious deep dive into a world I knew nothing about. A few thoughts on it. Firstly, it’s wildly complex. Part of that is due to the nature of the beast, but the language makes things…

  • The future of education?

There is a lot of concern and worry about the Deep Fakes; media that has been altered with AI to deceive. No wonder; imagine a video that was picture perfect of Trump doing a Nazi salute, or audio of Joe Biden discussing his ties with Jeffrey Epstein. Even if they were fake, the realness of…

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
