  • Lost luggage + A funny story

When we touched down today, we were missing a critical element of our holiday; our luggage! As I write this, our bags are sitting idly by in Philadelphia. It’s, as some say, sub-optimal. Fortunately, American Airlines will comp us and pay for a new set of clothes, so we’re doing a culturally relevant activity this…

  • Honeymoon

We’re off! After a few hiccups, we have boarded our frights, and we’re sitting on the tarmac right now at Philly airport, ready to fly. Ky and I are heading to France for 10 days as a honeymoon/babymoon/ visa run all rolled into one. It’s going to be a quick two days in Paris, and…

  • Team Selection

The Euros are on at the moments, the second biggest football tournament after the World Cup. I’ve kept half an eye on the results, and think there is a very clear lesson all of can heed. My examples are England, Portugal and Georgia. It is fair to say that every tournament triggers levels of unwarranted…

  • Visa

Today I received my authorization to apply for my visa. While I don’t have it in my hands, it means I’m 99% guaranteed to get it. Now it’s just time to book an appointment and hand over my passport, and then I’m fully legal. A memorable day.

  • Caleb Hammer – A review

I stumbled across a YouTube channel which has gripped my attention, and suprisingly so. Caleb Hammer is a slightly pudgy Millenial who has a primary interest in personal finance. His show is simple – someone who feels like they are struggling with their budgeting will come on, and over the hour Caleb will go through…

  • Stretching

Today is Day 1 of my 30 day stretch challenge. The rules are simple, stretch everyday for 20 minutes, for 30 days straight. At the end, see the results. All good challenges have a before and after. For me, the metric to measure is touching my toes. I can do it at the moment if…

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
