  • Deload

Last week I had a deload week on my weight training program. It was my first one, and I have to say that they do have a place for most people, regardless of how they exercise. In the past I always thought a deload week was all a load of hogwash and that a winning…

  • Blooded

Today we were talking about hunting, and it brought up a memory I hadn’t thought about in almost 20 years. I have gone spotlighting in the past when I was a kid, but one of the main hobbies we had as children was going fox hunting with hounds. It was a lot of fun, but…

  • A different perspective

Yesterday’s post was about how I remember a time at the snow with my dad many, many years ago. I wasn’t the only person who remembered that day, so I thought I would share how my mother remembered it. The following passage has been lightly edited for clarity and grammar. You were all so eager…

  • Fathers’ Day

It is Fathers Day in the Southern Hemisphere, and I am already seeing the photos flow in from my buddies who are celebrating their first day being the main event. Congrats to all of you. For me, this will be the last one I celebrate before our child is born; I’m already looking forward to…

  • Schism

Is there a split going on in the Republican Party? For those of us who are terminally online, perhaps is the only right answer. To the uninitiated, here is the crash course to get you up to speed. Donald Trump, despite claims of being “the most pro-life president in history”, has promised to not only…

  • Office Hours

There are a few things I really like about my job, but the thing I love perhaps more than anything is the chance to have face time with the C-Suite. Today was a highlight, as I was able to spend three hours straight chatting with our CEO. He is a GREAT guy, and knowing that…

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
