  • Game on

I thought the Nuggets were going to get blasted out in the first round of the playoffs. Turned out they’ve staged a remarkable comeback, and look very likely to go through. Celebrate the small things.

  • Memory Lane

I often write about what happened today, or recently. However, I think it might be fun to capture some memories from long ago. Here is one you might like. In Year 10/Sophomore Year of High School, we had school camp at the end of the year on the coast. After 4 days of catching waves…

  • Book Review: Politics on the Edge

I recently finished reading Politics on the Edge by Rory Stewart, a political tell-all for the former British MP, who, quite frankly, I had never heard of before reading this book. I’m not one for memoirs, and even less keen on political ones. One day I will finish My Life by Bill Clinton and Meditations…

  • American Wedding

This evening, we attended our first American wedding. It was a lovely affair, and I always love to see how different cultures celebrate tying the knot. First off, we felt lucky to be invited. Ky met the bride a few years ago; both of us had just moved to Denver, and Tarika and Ky had…

  • Clocking over

Last night, Ky and I had our second night of uninterrupted sleep since little Miss O was born. Now, that might not seem like a major victory, but it was! Sadly, our prize was waking up completely exhausted, as months of haphazard sleep, particularly for Ky, caught up with us. Let’s hope we can double…

  • First and annual

I had an annual checkup today at the doctor. Or should I say, inaugural. Perhaps it’s unusual to you, dear reader, but I have never been to the doctor before for a medical. Injuries. Yes. Vaccines. Yes. Back pain. Once, and that was online. It’s not that I’m against doctors or healthcare, I have just…

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
