  • VPN

I have been a happy customer of the Swedish VPN company, Mullvad, for two years. However, today was my last day of my contract, and I chose to go with a competitor. I know a few of my readers are in the technology/product space, and you may be interested/frustrated to hear why a user could…

  • Amateur Hour

I watched the last quarter of the Divisional Playoffs between the Washington and Detroit. The Detroit Lions came in strong favourites, but managed to completely implode. One memorable example was seeing them penalised for the the most comical of reasons; too many players on the field. I played a lot of low level sport, and…

  • Sora

I finally tried Sora, ChatGPTs AI video generator. It’s ok. Despite being on the premium plan, I burnt through all my credits in less than 10 minutes, and what I created weren’t great by any means. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: I mean, despite all my complains, this thing is still incredible. In…

  • 24

I called a friend up the other day, and he had set himself the challenge of reading 24 books in a year. I think it’s an excellent challenge, as it is neither daunting, nor unaspiring. I’ll be following his progress on Good Reads, and wish him luck.

  • Your Sayings

Thank you for those who wrote in to share some of their favourite sayings. Here are three that I thought were worth sharing: Blind Freddy could have told you that: Apparently this is a fairly common idiom in Australia, but I don’t think I have ever heard it used bar the person who messaged me,…

  • Sayings #2

Thank you to everyone who shared their favourite sayings, it was great to hear from you all, and I’ll get back to you all by tomorrow if I haven’t already. In fact, I might feature a few of them tomorrow. My second saying that I have created, and would love to see catch on, is…

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
